Elements and Performance Criteria
- Prepare to place and connect electrical coils
- Existing WHS/OHS risk control measures for work preparation are followed
- Work instructions are identified, obtained and applied
- Advice is sought from the work supervisor to ensure the work is coordinated effectively with others
- Materials required for the work are obtained in accordance with workplace routines and procedures
- Tools, equipment and testing devices needed to carry out work are obtained and checked for correct operation and safety
- Place and connect electrical coil
- Machines/equipment are checked and isolated in accordance with WHS/OHS requirements and workplace procedures
- Coils and insulation are selected in accordance with work instructions and workplace procedures
- Insulation is cut and applied in accordance with work instructions and workplace procedures
- Coils are placed in accordance with work instructions and workplace procedures
- Coil ends are prepared and connections made in accordance with work instructions and workplace procedures
- Unplanned situations are responded to in accordance with workplace procedures in a manner that minimises risk to personnel and equipment
- Routine quality checks are conducted to ensure electrical coils are correctly placed and connected in accordance with work instructions
- Electrical coil work is completed within timeframe, environment and workplace conditions
- Complete workplace report
- Workplace report, forms/data sheets are completed accurately in accordance with workplace procedures
